Towards Sustainable Schools is a research project commissioned by Balfour Beatty, who is committed to sustainability as a fundamental principle in delivering “Schools for the Future”.
Sustainability in schools is a relatively new and complex field and there are some challenging choices to be made with regard to where to invest time and resources. We are committed to achieving real sustainability outcomes in educational facilities beyond simply proposing technical engineering approaches that focus around energy.
